Hi! I'm author / artist / media journalist WolfenM / Wolfen Moondaughter. Welcome to my personal / fandom blog. Here you'll some posts promoting: my work (articles, stories, and art); personal thoughts; and reblogs relating to my myriad of interests.

WARNING: due to the nature of tumblr, some things I reblog may contain adult themes and "strong" language -- parental discretion is advised. I love slash, so if homosexual imagery bothers you, move along. Also, I am not responsible for the content of other sites I may link to that are not my own, so surf at your own risk.

A sampling of interests you'll find here: shipping, slash, fanfiction, fanart, comics, movies, high-fantasy fiction, sci-fi, supernatural/urban fantasy fiction (werewolves, vampires, psychic powers, elves, faeries, etc), paganism, animals (especially wolves and rabbits), images of celebrities from shows and movies I like, original fiction and original art.

My main fandoms: Marvel (Loki, X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man), Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, (particulary Kyle/Eduardo) Disney (especially Tangled), Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Whedonverse (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse, Dr Horrible), Elfquest, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, MLP (My Little Pony), Supernatural, Sherlock Holmes (RDJ & Cumberbatch versions), Once Upon a Time, Spartacus

for those not in the know, night witches were russian lady bombers who bombed the shit out of german lines in WW2. Thing is though, they had the oldest, noisiest, crappest planes in the entire world. The engines used to conk out halfway through their missions, so they had to climb out on the wings mid flight to restart the props. the planes were also so noisy that to stop germans from hearing them combing and starting up their anti aircraft guns, they’d climb up to a certain height, coast down to german positions, drop their bombs, restart their engines in midair, and get the fuck out of dodge.
their leader flew over 200 missions and was never captured.

how the fuck is this not taught in every single history class ever

Holy fuck
They deserve their name

can you imagine

the next time someone asks you if you’re planning on having kids

and you say “no”

and they give that knowing smile and say “you will change your mind, someday”

suddenly a time portal opens up and like 60-year-old version of you sticks their head out and and goes “INCORRECT”

I used to hate it when people said that to me. They still say it to me, but now I get to say “Well, I had to have a cancer-related hysterectomy at 31, so I guess the gods agreed with me, not you.”

The look on their know-it-all judge-y faces after that is *priceless* >:D

DISNEY HAVE STOLEN MY ARTWORK
I don’t know what to do. I am so upset. Can anyone help me?
My painting was created back in 2010, (see it HERE) and since then so many people have expressed their love for it, not just on tumblr, but in many places. At least 9 people had it tattooed on their bodies. It’s one of my favourite images I created at University and I was proud of it in many ways.
Disney have used it on a cosmetics bag HERE (look at the back)and they have produced a Tshirt HERE with a really similar design clearly modeled from my painting
I’m so mad because I have no chance at getting Disney to do anything about it. I had so much respect for the company and now I am just SO upset and disappointed.
Any help, advice or signal boosting would be amazing. And thank you so much to the kind person who messaged me about this.

Talked to dad, a Disney employee, about this, and this is what he had to say:
1) Disney employees (and not just the art department ones, either) have classes on copyright every year in the hopes of *preventing* things like this happening.
2) Most mass-produced Disney products are not actually produced by Disney, but by licence-holders. Most of those approach Disney with designs/concepts for approval in the first place, not the other way around. So this would not be a case of Disney seeing the design and saying to a cosmetics-bag-making company “Hey, make this for us!” They actually make an effort to look into art to make sure it’s not stolen, but they aren’t psychic — no one can be aware of every piece of art ever made.
3) Because a Disney is very protective of their copyright, they are actually also very protective of the copyright of others. If the artist goes to the Disney (I’m thinking through the consumer products division, here: https://ebizsec.disney.com/ebizsecurity/contactus/contactus.htm?Locale=en ) and can prove that she was the originator of the art (sorry, but that’s how it would go *any*where), then dad thinks chances are quite good that the company that made the purse would be penalised by Disney, as well as be forced to pay the artist reparations.
My personal guess is that someone found the art, thought it was clipart from the original book, put it on a clip-art site, and the artist who made the purse design (who is likely not a Disney employee, just an employee of the licencee who made the purse) got it from there. I’ve seen that sort of thing happen before.
If the original artist is reading this, I hope it helps, and I wish you good luck! :)
